RMAEP Student Scholarships

The Rocky Mountain Association of Environmental Professionals (RMAEP) is thrilled to announce the opening of applications for our annual student scholarship program. As part of our commitment to fostering the next generation of environmental leaders, we are proud to award this scholarship to deserving students each year.

Scholarship Details:

  • Number of Scholarships: 4, Including 2 for Colorado and 2 for Utah Students

  • Scholarship Amount: $2,000.00/each

  • Eligibility: The scholarship is open to all full-time students currently enrolled in an accredited environmental science, engineering, or related program at any educational institution.  Students from Colorado colleges or universities can apply for the Colorado Scholarships and Students from Utah colleges or universities can apply for the Utah Scholarship.  

  • Utah Application Deadline: September 30, 2025

  • Colorado Application Deadline: September 15, 2025

Selection Criteria: A committee of RMAEP professionals will review all applications and select the scholarship recipients based on the following criteria:

  1. Academic Achievement: Demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to environmental studies.

  2. Leadership and Involvement: Active involvement in extracurricular activities related to environmental issues and a track record of leadership.

  3. Environmental Passion: A clear passion for environmental protection and sustainability as evidenced by past projects, research, or community involvement.

Application Process: To apply for the RMAEP student scholarship, interested candidates must submit the following documents to [email protected]:

  1. Completed Application Form, available at https://rmaep.org/downloads/rmaep_scholarship_application_form_2025.pdf

  2. A Personal Statement (500-800 words or 1-2 pages max) highlighting your academic achievements, involvement in environmental activities, career goals, and how this scholarship will support your aspirations in the environmental field.
  3. Two Letters of Recommendation from academic or professional references.
